Eclipse is a flower vase conceptualised and designed by local architect Cobus van den Berg. Skeg assisted in the design-development process and production of a prototype unit. This project shows off the use of CAD modeling and prototyping techniques to create functional art. Surface modeling enabled us to create a flowing outer surface for the reflective qualities of investment casting materials. The vase was machined to maintain the fairness of the large smooth surfaces and finished by hand.
