Optoplast - Optiscope Handle Modifications

This was an existing product which we modified by removing the button and the extra lamp cavity. The removal of the button was possible due to the introduction of a capacitive sense switch and a LED light source.

Industrial Design
With the addition of the capacitive sense switch the unit switches on when it is picked up and then off again when it is put down. With the introduction of the LED light source the cavity for the spare bulb could be removed.

Prototyping
This part was 3D printed and fitted to the existing product to check fitments and function.
