Industrial Design The Luma ball needed to be assembled and disassembled by the user, contain detail for six "glow in the dark" sticks and take the beating of being kicked around on a playground.
Multiple versions of the product were prototyped in order to fulfill all the design requirements; structural, ease of assembly, low component count, styling and surfaces for branding.
This project proved that iterating a design with extensive use of prototyping methods makes for low risk when tooling. Skeg sourced and managed the tooling of the ball and first off tool samples worked perfectly.
