Prototyping The parts were 3D printed and hand finished in the model shop in order to use them as masters for silicone tooling.
Because the production parts were to be made from a material that needed to absorb high impact forces in an accident, polyurethane with high impact resistance was used to vacuum cast the plastic parts.
These parts performed very well in testing and our client was able to de-risk their product before commission of tooling.
