Ignite – Racing Boots

Scale model Adidas F50 boots were handmade and fitted to model racing cars for the launch of the boot for the 2010 Soccer World Cup in South Africa.

Prototyping
Skeg reverse engineered the Adidas F50 boots it was supplied and scaled the boots down in CAD in order to fit it to model racing car chassis. Masters were 3D printed, silicone tooled and vacuum cast. All finishing, colour and logos were applied by hand.

The boots raced on track in various shopping malls across South Africa as part of the launch program. The finish was robust enough to endure numerous hours of racing and regular crashes.
